Construction of Dunlap's Creek Bridge was completed in 1838, making it the first bridge in the U.S. to be fabricated out of cast-iron, as well as the first to use manufactured parts that were both standard and interchangeable. Spanning 80 ft (24 m) across the Dunlap Creek, this bridge continues to be used today.
