Since the late 1800s, the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall has been providing educational and cultural services to the people of Carnegie. Still used today, the Carnegie-Carnegie building houses the Music Hall, which is home to three local groups and seats up to 780 people, and the public library. Also inside the building is a Civil War Room, which contains a well-preserved collection of artifacts, as it was locked for 50 years during the early 1900s.
Established in 1765 by the settlers, Old Saint Lukes Church remains an example of faith and endurance. The current building was constructed in 1852 and used until 1930, the church was the focus of a local group, who renovated it into a multi-belief facility. Behind the church is a cemetery that contains the graves of many Civil War soldiers. Tours are available during the summer.
