Fort Necessity National Battlefield encompasses 900 acres of lands and three historic sites, including a reconstructed Fort Necessity, the Braddock Grave and Jumonville Glen. In 1754, a battle between the French and the English, led by George Washington, took place in the area where the park sits today.
