The WWM has specimens of various species of wildlife and emphisizes the history, culture, practice and ethics of hunting and field sports. The museum also reviews the impact of human activities on the global environment and local ecosystems and how individuals can practice environmental stewardship in everyday life. Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art offers traveling and permanent exhibitions, as well as educational programs. The American Association of Museums gave the museum accreditation in 1995 and today it is found in four communities: Loretto, Altoona, Ligonier and Johnstown. Inside the museum is a large selection of 19th and 20th century items, such as paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints., including some work of Andy Warhol.
