Located 7 mi (11 km) from Ohiopyle State Park is where Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater home can be found. Built from 1935 to 1938, the design is one of Wright's most notable concepts of organic architecture. Fallingwater is built above the water falls of Bear Run on separate concrete trays and is filled with many of the original furnishing and art inside for guests to see on the three tours offered. Designed in the last decade of Frank Lloyd Wright's career and completed in 1956, Kentucky Knob is a deluxe Usonion structure in the Laurel Highlands, just seven miles (11 km) away from Lloyd's home of Fallingwater. The on-site visitor center is home to a cafe and gift shop as well as offering tours of the estate. Visitors can also check out the sculpture meadow below the house, full of 35 unique sculptures.
