Located 7 mi (11 km) from Ohiopyle State Park is where Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater home can be found. Built from 1935 to 1938, the design is one of Wright's most notable concepts of organic architecture. Fallingwater is built above the water falls of Bear Run on separate concrete trays and is filled with many of the original furnishing and art inside for guests to see on the three tours offered.
Blending with its natural surroundings, Kentuck Knob was constructed in 1953 from sandstone, tidewater cypress and copper. Today, tours of the estate and the Sculpture Garden can be arranged. A visitor's center, once a greenhouse, is also on the grounds. It contains exotic plants, a gift shop and a cafe.
