The Ghost Town Trail spans 36 mi (58 km) through the Indiana and Cambria counties. Named for the ghost town, once mining communities like that of Wehrum. The trail provides close-up looks at the remnants of these communities, as well as the Eliza Furnace in Vintondale. Access points are found in Dilltown, Vintondale, Ebensburg and many other areas.

Brochures and maps for self-directed driving tours of the Amish Country is available at Lawrence County Tourist Promotion Agency in New Castle. Approximately 1,500 Amish live in the area that makes up Lawrence county. Visitors can spend a day driving through the communities, but are asked not to tape or photograph the Amish people, as it is against their religious beliefs.
