    Youghiogheny River Trail
    Youghiogheny River Trail is a 43 mi (69 km) trail that runs along the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie rail line between McKeesport and Connellsville. Motorized vehicles are not allowed to use the trail, as is caters to bikers, hikers, horseback riders, cross-country skiers and snowshoers. The YRT is part of the Great Allegheny Passage and offers visitors the option of exploring Pennsylvania's, into Maryland's, backcountry areas.

    Great Allegheny Passage
    Connecting Pittsburgh, PA, to Cumberland, MD, the Great Allegheny Passage runs 150 mi (240 km) and is open for biking, hiking and horseback riding. In the winter the trail welcomes cross-country skiers and snowshoers. The trail follows the Allegheny River in many parts, offering scenic and historic views and frequently winds through communities in Southwest Pennsylvania, permitting access to their amenities.

    North Country National Scenic Trail
    North Country National Scenic Trail runs through Pennsyvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota, prviding outdoor enthusiasts with roughly 4,600 mi (7,400 km) of pathway linking, including 1,700 mi (2,700 km) of off-road accessible trails. Most people use the trail segments for day trips, but few attempt to do the trail all at once.

    Two Mile Run Mountain Bike Trails
    The 2,695 acre (1,090 ha) park of mostly wooded land features 20 miles (32 km) of trails suitable for mountain bikes. The trails are primarily challenging, single-track runs. Those unfamiliar with the park should get a map from the park office. The park also contains a 144 acre (58 ha) lake for swimming, boating and fishing. A snack bar, showers and rental boats are available at the lake. Campsites and picnic areas may be rented. Access: PA Route 417, between Franklin and Cherry Tree.
